My buddy James asked if I'd be interested in spending a Sunday chasin' some COLD water smallmouths! Hmm, I had to think about this for about 2 seconds - Heck yeah! We decided to fish the Delaware River (Titusville) in Trenton, NJ. We would take his pick-up truck and boat. All I had to do was fish ... I'm in!
Water temps started off at 38 and rose to 40 as the day progressed. We fished from about 11:00 to 4:00. We were able to entice about 7 smallies into the boat today. We also brought in two bonus carp. We still don't know what the silver one was, but it was BIG! Here are some pictures from our trip:
